MIGUEL AGUSTÍN PRO-JUÁREZ.
Jesuit priest martyred during the anti-Catholic regime of Pres. Alvaro Obregón (1920-24) in Mexico.
He entered the Society of Jesus at El Llano in 1911.
A policy of religious persecution under Pres. Venustiana Carranza forced Pro and other Jesuit students to leave Mexico for California in October 1914.
He pursued studies in Spain, Nicaragua and at Enghien, Belgium, where he was ordained in 1925 and returned in 1926 to Mexico where anti-Catholic measures were being continued by Pres. Plutarco Calles.
